Dear Aspirants,

Wish you a Happy Independence Day!!

How did you celebrate this day? My celebrations were limited to spending some time reading the thoughts of the founding fathers of the nation. I kept wondering, how would they feel if they saw India @ 75 years. I think it would be a mixed feeling. There is so much potential energy waiting to be unleashed across every sector. But there are also internal barriers that we have created amongst ourselves.

Given the diversity in our country, I believe the single value that could be of relevance to most of us is Tolerance. It enables a harmonious exchange of ideas that will help our country to flourish across economic, cultural, technological and spiritual dimensions.

Remembering what it cost us to achieve Independence from the British

"In this solemn hour of our history, when after many years of struggle we are taking over the governance of this country, let us offer our humble thanks to the Almighty power that shapes the destinies of men and nations and let us recall in grateful remembrance the services and sacrifices of all those men and women, known and unknown, who with smiles in their faces walked to the gallows or faced bullets on their chests, who experienced living death in the Andamans or spent long years in the prisons of India, who preferred voluntary exile in foreign countries to a life of humiliation in their own, who not only lost wealth and property but cut themselves of their near and dear ones to devote themselves to the great objective of what we are witnessing today" - Dr. Rajendra Prasad in the Constituent Assembly on Aug 15th 1947

My Daily Quiz Scores

This week I finally managed to add the quizzes from Forum IAS. It feels a bit difficult to do 50 MCQs per day. I guess it will get easier with time.

That is all for this week! All the very best for Week #32

See you again following Monday.

Best Regards,
